Celebrity Team: Lower Chippewa River Titmouseketeers!'s Fundraising Page
We are the Lower Chippewa River Titmouseketeers!
This May, we will spend part of a 24-hour period observing as many bird species as possible. You can pledge an amount per species, or pledge a total amount regardless of how many species we see.
Our birdathon will take place solely within the boundaries of the Lower Chippewa River Important Bird Area (IBA). The region we call home has been designated an IBA for its outstanding array of intact habitats that many priority species depend upon. The region stretches along the corridor of the Chippewa River, from Eau Claire all the way to the Mississippi River. For more information on the IBA, visit here: http://www.wisconsinbirds.org/iba/chippewariver.htm
Your pledge will support the Bird Protection Fund, statewide projects such as Bird City Wisconsin, Important Bird Areas, and the Wisconsin Stopover Initiative, and other efforts to protect the year-round migrating and breeding needs of Wisconsin's birds.
Thanks for supporting our Team, and for helping our state's birds!
We hope to see 100 species of birds!
Please help us reach our collective goal of: $2,000
$2,504 raised so far,
The Chippewa Valley is a very important place for bird conservation. Our region has been designated an "Important Bird Area" for its significant natural resource features.
We will be doing our birdathon solely within the boundaries of the Lower Chippewa River Important Bird Area. We hope this will raise awareness about the importance of our backyard as a refuge for birds.
